The more time Bella spent with us the more we saw changes in her temperament. She was never a hostile or aggressive dog but she was, for want of a better word, standoffish. Gradually she left her self-contained world in which we were no more than bit-part players and made us a part of her new world. I like this image because, for me, it represents something of that opening up through her open engagement with me - and the camera. Taken on 17 December 2006.
