Bella and the other dogs spent most of their days lying on gravel, concrete, tarmac and every other kind of hard, uncomfortable surface. But when the opportunity came to rest on something more comfortable they took it. At first when they started coming into our yard they slept on the tiles. After a little while we put out some old rugs and mats for them. This blue and white mat Bella is resting on was her first 'bed' and the first time she ever had somewhere comfortable to sleep regularly. In time she came to appreciate her comforts.
